Prez Sez - September 2011

Well here it is-- September 1st. according to the By Laws of the HBCC Article 9 Paragraph "C" the last sentence "The new officers will assume their positions in September.

The new board for this coming year is:

President - Mark Pilch

Vice President - Dick Knutson

Secretary - Nancy Ciccia

Sgt. at Arms - Bob Romeo

At this time I would like to thank Bud Fosdick, Cathy Lewis, Ron Lewis, Bob Romeo for the all the time and effort they gave to HBCC.

For the next year we are still asking for volunteers for the following positions: Duds & Stuff, Historian, Sunshine Girl or Boy, and last but not least someone to help Debbie Johnson with the Event List etc. If I have forgotten anything please let me know.

The office of President that you have elected me to will be a work in progress just like our cars. I will need your constructive input as how to have the kind of club that we all want.

Here are some of my ideas:

First of all our Board Meetings will be open to the general membership. I would like this to be the place where any suggestions or concerns can be dealt with. If you have any suggestions, comments, questions etc., please put them in the suggestion box at the meeting. Also feel free to contact me whether it be by phone, email, or in person (before, during the break, or after the meeting). By doing this I am hoping that this will eliminate any controversial or unnecessary discussions at the meetings. In my opinion this will help the meetings to be more positive. Which in turn should lead to having more of our members in attendance at the monthly meetings.

My main goal is to get our club on a Positive Road!!

Before I forget at our last meeting we voted to change our meeting day to the 4th Thursday of September (Sept.22nd) so we can all attend the last Encinitas Car Show of the year, which is Sept. 15th.
